At Fractals Group, we blend advanced engineering with digital innovation. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Electrical Technical Office Engineer to join our engineering and technical solutions team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering designs, technical specifications, and project execution. You will support the preparation of electrical submittals, shop drawings, quantity take-offs, bill of quantities (BOQs), and technical proposals for smart infrastructure, IoT integrations, and enterprise power/networking systems. If you have a strong analytical mindset, precise technical skills, and a passion for modern infrastructure engineering, we welcome you to help shape our digital and physical ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Submittals & Documentation Prepare, review, and organize electrical technical submittals, material compliance sheets, shop drawings, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) according to project specifications and standards.
  • Quantity Surveying & BOQ Costing Perform accurate quantity take-offs for electrical, IoT, power distribution, low-voltage (LV), and extra-low-voltage (ELV) systems, contributing to bill of quantities (BOQ) preparation and cost estimates
  • Shop Drawing & Schematic Drafting Collaborate with senior engineers to draft and revise detailed AutoCAD electrical layouts, conduit routes, panel schedules, lighting/power plans, and cable schedules
  • RFIs & Technical Queries Draft Request for Information (RFI) documents, evaluate design variations, and reconcile discrepancies between site conditions, architectural plans, and electrical specifications
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination Liaise with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and sub-contractors to secure technical datasheets, competitive pricing, and compliant material specifications for active proposals
  • Cross-Department Support Work closely with project managers, procurement specialists, and network/IoT design teams to ensure seamless delivery and compliance from preliminary design to project handoff

Qualifications:

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power & Machines, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
  • Technical Experience 0 to 2 years of experience in an electrical technical office or design role (internships and academic capstone projects in technical office/design functions are highly valued)
  • Software Proficiency Proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical) and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills for BOQs and estimation). Familiarity with DIALux for lighting calculations or Revit MEP is a strong advantage
  • Standards & Code Knowledge Solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, low-voltage power distribution, ELV/LV systems, and familiarity with relevant international standards (IEC, NEC, or local building codes)
  • Analytical & Communication Skills High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving capabilities, technical writing, and written/verbal English communication skills
